Essential works to maintain the integrity of the seawall and revetment along the frontage near Hurst Road East Car Park will be undertaken by New Forest District Council. These works will be carried out in two phases.
Phase 1. – Temporary Rock Revetment
Starting week commencing Monday, 10th of November 2025, the contractor will mobilise to site and establish a secure compound. Approximately 1,300 tonnes of rock amour will be delivered over approximately seven days and around half of the rock will be placed to form a temporary revetment. This first phase is expected to be completed by Friday, 19th of December 2025.
Phase 2 – Seawall Repairs and Permanent Revetment – Spring 2026
